I managed to get all of them to join my group but a horde of zombies had encircled us. I handed them a weapon each but they just stood there and got eaten while I ran away to try drag them with me.

After you've confirmed it's all gone, you want to head to "C:\Users\ ( Your Computer Username Here )\Zomboid" and go into the "Saves" folder to find both your latest save folder and your previous save folder. Go into the previous save folder first, this will be the folder that had everything EXCEPT the Superb Survivors and Subpar Suvivors mods.
