Here's the 7 round Kimber spring vs. the 6 round Wolff spring. Note that the Kimber spring has one extra coil. The Wolff feels a little stiffer with the mag assembled. All 7 rounds fit in fine and a 8th round would not go. There is sufficient give when pushing down on the top round of a full magazine.

These problems have been going on to long. Yes, they will fix it for you but by now you’d think they would fix this before they ship. The Micro 9 seems to the choice for a lot of 1st time Kimber buyers and first opinions mean a lot.I'm going to suggest you contact Kimbers customer service and discuss the problem with them. There were a series of Micro's put out with defective slide stops and Kimber was able to recognize the problem and simply sent out new slide stops to the owners.
