A small percentage of the SKS rifles in the US lack import marks. In the years that I've been paying attention I've only seen 3 Russian SKS rifles sans import marks. One of those was a bring back from Vietnam. The others were examples that I think the importer somehow missed applying a mark. I own one SKS with no import marks - a 1978 Yugo 59/66.Chinese SKS with Russian markings? I just picked up a 1964 /26\ Type 56 with a serial in the 9 million.
