Paul Getty Museum and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art will launch a joint exhibition, “ Robert Mapplethorpe: The Perfect Medium ,” featuring hundreds of images from every period of his career. The two-part show, one of the artist’s largest ever, is drawn from his archive, which Getty and Lacma jointly acquired in 2011.
