I just got a M11-A1 and love the feel of it. I have yet to fire it though. From the research I have done, the complaints about the M11-A1 is that it is not an exact replica of the military issue M11, which is a 228. I think that Mec-Gar 18rd P229 mag comes with a +3 adapter so it is not flush fit and will be slightly loose because it is the same width as a P226 mag.
