It's a lot less mind boggling if you don't open 3 cans of worms at the same time. If you are serious about turboing it eventually forget the old school 350 and go with an LS 5.3 or 6.0. "Easiest" V8 swap (350 sbc) would most likely be a carb'd set up on a mechanical fuel pump block. 2nd easiest would be an electrical fuel pump meant for a carb (low psi). There are a few factory optioned S10s and Blazers out there that came with the 8.5 ring gear vs the typical 7.5 but they are rare enough that they are pretty pricey for a rear end that still needs work.
