The Benelli is a GREAT gun, and cost me about what I paid for both the Mossy's combined. The other pros I can think of with the Mossberg is that it has a bayonet lug and larger tube capacity. The bayonet lug is unncessary imo but to have it as an option might be worth it.The 870 will last forever. I, myself, shoot a Mossberg Model 500 for dove hunting (some skeet and trap, too).
