A quick glance shows that the Hesco plates will stop 30-06 (7.62 x 63mm). RMA plates will not. The Hesco mediums weigh 4.1lbs and stop 30-06 while the RMA plates weigh 4.5lbs and don't stop that round. RMA is also thicker at 1.2" vs 0.98" for Hesco.
