Jul 3, 2018 · #1. Finally finished modifying my Hawk Helium climbing sticks and thought I’d share what was done. 24” blaze orange gear ties. Camos great into the bark while in the shade. DIY camo job idea thanks to @g2outdoors. Camos great into the bark while in the sunlight. Not sure what to call this. Made this up myself. FYI - If you use a Harken 150 or Schaffer 70-17 you will need at least 2.25" hardware to mount through a Hawk Helium stick. I measured and figured I had about 1/4" of threads with a 2" bolt but it didn't work out that way. Barely had enough to thread on the nuts so I have to go back for some 2.25" or 2.5" hardware.Got my 20” Hawk Helium sticks today. Love the sticks, but got a few changes to make on them. Obviously got to get the sliders. (1)-3 step and (2) double steps. Got to paint( camo) them, and diffinently going to change the versa button to the line wolf and get some ropes.
