Jun 20, 2023 · I have an 2022 Sony Bravia Google TV. I cannot get the remote to toggle power on the Directv box. Once I get it on, the Sony remote will control the box but it just wont turn the box on or off. I get the message "turning on satellite box" but nothing happens. I do have the directv box in a cabinet and do use RF rather than IR to control it. If that information does not work, the next best thing to do, is to unpair the remote and pair it back again with the TV. Don't forget, that if you are using more than one DIRECTV STREAM device, the remote it came with, is the remote that you should be using on it.
