A roguelike is a run-based stepping game (according to the definition used around here). Stepping games usually don't work well in multiplayer. One exception is Crypt of the Necrodancer, which is rhythm-based, which is perfect for coop. There is also multiplayer in HyperRogue (both in stepping and real-time mode).
