FYI, I took my Honda into the dealer today. I was getting the Plug-In Charging System Problem. They say it is a circuit malfunction because Clarity PHEV is not compatible with some chargers. Get the battery charged and load tested. Those are always the first two steps in diagnosing electrical problems. Stator wire "in front of the battery" is confusing. The ECU turns off the charging of the alternator when the battery is "full" in order to save that tiny bit of energy. So when your battery is charged, the voltage will read about 12.4 volts. It won't get up to over 14 Volts (where it should be) unless the ELD detects a load big enough to start draining the battery.

The rear differential is covered under Honda's 5/60 powertrain limited warranty. The decision to replace the differential was Honda's - not the dealer's. I assure you the dealer did not absorb a penny of this repair or have any influence in the outcome. Just giving credit where credit is due.
