Gaige excels at shield-stripping enemies with the LBT (middle) skill tree and building Anarchy stacks is quickest way to stack damage. I'd recommend going halfway up the LBT tree for the Shock augmenting skills and at least as far as Rational Anarchist in the Anarchy tree. Empty your magazines as fast as possible.
