(using both WWB and federal) I carry the 124 gr speer gold dots (the P+ 1150 fps version, not the 1080) as a carry load. I purchased 2 boxes of the usual, and 2 boxes of the 147 gr. This is best for guns with shorter barrels (ie conceal carry) vs the 147 grain standard pressure load. Either brand. I think Gold Dot tends to penetrate further and HSTs tend to get slightly larger expansion. Agree, same for me.As a general rule a higher grain weight bullet will impact higher on point of aim. IE point of impact on 124 will be higher than 115gr. In 9mm I prefer 147 gr. The 124 in general should penetrate a little better than the 115. It’s probably not a huge difference, but I’d pick the 124s up if they were a good deal.

But the 115 gr +P (+) has nearly the mass and nearly the velocity, thus making it the closest round to achieve the legendary 125 gr .357 magnum ballistics.
